Name: Tim Lincoln (Nicknames: Timmer, Lincs, Red Light, Slow Hand) Born: Upstate New York (Albany County Area) Hometown: St. Louis, MO Hockey Experience: Youth hockey, high school hockey, some junior hockey (A and B) then about 15 years off. Started playing hockey again (inline hockey) in Colorado in 1995, then back into ice around 1999. Beer leagues, countless tourneys, summer leagues, pick-up hockey. Moved to Minnesota in 2004. How did you get your start with MJDHL: I was seriously thinking about hanging up the pads when Mark said he needed a couple of goalies for the Thursday skate. Leslie and I were looking for a way we could play hockey together and the MJDHL fit that bill perfectly. Started playing with MJDHL: I think it was 2008 when we started? 2009 maybe? We have been in Saudi Arabia since Feb 2012 and hope to return to the MJDHL Thursday night skate later in 2013 or VERY early 2014 depending on when we return to the States. Jersey number and why you chose it: I occasionally wear 29; KenDryden was/is my hockey hero. I also occasionally wear 27; Ron Hextall was another favorite. Most often I wear the number 1 because I wanted a number that slightly exceeded my IQ. Playing status: Active (technically). Family: Wife: Leslie; also a goalie. Daughter: Patricia; part-time goalie. Son-in-law Josh: ankle bender. Occupation: Senior Field Engineer and Technical Writer with Raytheon Integrated Missile Defense Systems, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In a few months I will be back home, unemployed, looking for something/anything to do and much happier. Other Hobbies/Activities/Sports you enjoy: Faith, friends and family. Our hobby farm in Adams, MN. Home repair and maintenance. Computers and technology. Physical fitness. Cooking and eating. |
